This older gentleman earned his name after being found wandering near a jail in Salt Lake, and we’re pretty sure he’s been stealing hearts ever since. Jail Bird is the definition of a perfect companion-affectionate, curious, and always ready to be where you are. Whether you’re working at your desk or relaxing on the couch, he’ll happily settle in next to you, offering his silent but steady support.

Despite being a senior with a touch of arthritis, Jail Bird isn’t one to let that slow him down. He still loves to explore his surroundings. When he looks up at you with those mesmerizing green eyes, you won’t be able to resist giving him a well-deserved scratch behind the ears.

Jail Bird gets along well with other cats and might even adjust to life with a dog, as long as he gets a slow and steady introduction. He’s currently living his best life in the community cat room at the Rescue Ranch, but what he’s really waiting for is a forever home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort, surrounded by love.

Meet Gus Goose! This sweet girl has had a rough start but thanks to our dedicated vet team, she is finally on the mend and ready for her forever home! She has a special diet and still needs nose drops, but her love of people far outweighs her medical care. She absolutely craves attention and will be your biggest snuggler. Introducing Mama Sue, the sweetest mama around! This incredible mother of four was discovered abandoned in the desert near Shonto on the Navajo Nation, rescued by a partner organization, and eventually brought to Nuzzles. Mama Sue and her little ones quickly captured our hearts-and a bit of the limelight too!

From backstage at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert, providing comfort to Anthony Kiedis and Flea, to showcasing her calm demeanor live on Good Things Utah, Mama Sue has shown she’s a star in any setting.

Mama Sue’s favorite thing is meeting new people, and she shows her joy with full-body wiggles that are sure to bring a smile to your face. She’s a mixed breed beauty, weighing 60 pounds, and at four years old, she’s brimming with love and affection.

This lovely lady enjoys a good cuddle but also has an adventurous spirit, ready to explore the world with you. Now that she’s raised her pups and met some rockstars, Mama Sue is ready to find her forever home. Meet Jasper! He’s truly one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet with all people great and small! This sweet boy loves nothing more than cuddling up close, and resting his full body on you for belly scratches is his absolute favorite! Jasper is a classic “velcro” dog who will be your loyal companion, always wanting to be by your side. He enjoys classic music, like Earth, Wind and Fire and gets really jazzed when he hears “Mo Money Mo Problems.” He loves going on car rides and heels on the leash.

He does get anxious when he is left alone, but did fine in a crate in his foster home while he was away. Jasper is looking for someone who loves cuddles as much as he does. He urgently needs a forever home where he can feel safe and loved – he’s ready to give all the love back! He will steal your bed and your heart!!I Jasper had been bonded to another dog friend from whom he was separated and he is fearful of other dogs who are in his immediate vicinity. He is looking for a foster or permanent home without other dog companions.
