April 27, 2021 – Nuzzles & Co Pet Rescue and Adoption will resume the Pop-Up Pet Pantry Program thanks to the generous support of one of the original founders of Nuzzles & Co, Wendy Lavitt. In 2020, Nuzzles & Co began lending a hand to help feed dogs and cats of Utah pet owners who had been financially impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The pantry will resume in 2021 and provide food for people as well as their pets.
“Our Pop-Up Pet Pantries were widely utilized in 2020, and we are excited to continue serving people and their pets in 2021. We can only do this with the generous financial support of the Lavitt family,” said Lindsay Ortega, Nuzzles & Co’s executive director. “Many people are still experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19. Not only do we want to keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, but we want to make sure people have enough food for their families during this difficult time.”
Food is distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. For the safety of pantry clients and Nuzzles & Co staff, masks and social distancing are required at every Pop-Up Pantry event. Attendees are asked to please stay in their vehicle.
