Earlier this month, we got a call from one of our local shelters about a sweet kitten that needed medical attention. She had been in the shelter for a couple of weeks and could not put weight on her left front paw. We knew our amazing vet team could help her, so we took her in. Upon arrival, she was all purrs, despite a definite malformation to her leg. Our vets suspected brachial plexus avulsion and possible other orthopedic injuries as well, and so the decision was made to amputate her leg.
After her surgery, Timpie was picked up by one of our loving fosters who has a Nuzzles pup and kitty of her own – and boy, did they dote on her and give her the affection she so desperately needed! She is all healed now and doesn’t even seem to notice that she is “different” being a tripod – and it definitely doesn’t slow her down at all! At just four and a half months old, Timpie is vocal, snuggly, adventurous, and sure to brighten the life of her future family.
